Azure Group’s QLD office holds tax seminar for SMEs

On Monday, 17 May, our QLD team held their successful breakfast seminar for 25 Gold Coast small and medium sized business owners. The seminar was held at the Gold Coast International Hotel and featured two guest speakers.

Azure Group’s QLD managing director, Steve Smith spoke about how the Government’s recent Budget will impact businesses as well as the need for proactive tax planning before the end of the financial year in order to minimise tax.

Michael Drage, managing director of financial planning firm Perspective Group, spoke about wealth creation and tax effective investments.

Steve commented, “The fact is that most business owners are paying too much tax because they don’t plan. This seminar was about helping business owners have a better understanding of tax and why it is crucial to put in place effective tax planning.”

The response of the seminar attendees was very positive, with many commenting that it contained useful and practical information.

This breakfast seminar is the first of a regular series of events that the Azure Group QLD office will hold.
